freaked out!

I was doing my hair this morning in the bathroom, I had already given Cody a bowls of cereal and a movie to watch. When I walked back into the kitchen this is what I found! What is it you ask? MY KITCHEN TABLE. Seems Cody found a rock with a very fine edge and decided to dig it INTO the table top. half of the table top looks this way. I freaked out, screaming crying yet I never beat him like I wanted to do. Now what?

Pine Wood Derby

This whole pine wood derby thing is new to me. I remember my older brother participating in it back in the day, but not much to remember, Ricky didn't do scouts as a child so both of us are at a loss as far as what to do and expect. I didn't know it was such a BIG DEAL... the boys fathers are so competative. Trever decided he wanted to make a submarine for his derby car. I don't have any pictures of the poor thing unpainted because it looked like a toy that no child should be playing with. But here it is all finished and weighing in. Ricky and Trever had so much fun working on this together!! he won one race, took second in two and finished in other numerous places, to many to count.

Valenites Day

This year we spent Valentines Day with our neighbors, it is becoming a yearly tradition. We made a potluck dinner, but not just any dinner King Crab with; twice baked potatoes, salad, stead (yes I said steak), shrimp, and Better than anything cake. The little ones ate pizza down stairs while the adults enjoyed our meal. The kids played games and watched a movie while the adults played the skittles game. have you ever heard of it? Well I never had until tonight. It is a game of skill and fun. You are give two dice once you roll doubles you grab the bowl full of skittles from the person on your left, then with a straw you begin to suck as hard as you can to pick up a skittle you drop it in your own individual bowl (remember to stop sucking) and go for another until the bowl gets grabbed from you. Rick was grabbing from me, that is why the face! I didn't even get one before he rolled doubles. We were laughing so hard the kids came up and wanted to join in.

Grave Digger, and Monster Mutt!

We took the kids to the Energy Solutions Arena to see Grave Digger and Monster Mutt! They were all excited (thanks Ann Tan for picking up the tickets for us!~ your the best sbh ever!!!) We pretty much took out a second mortgage to buy each of the kids a hat or shirt and a toy! The show was awesome!! I love to hear the loud trucks it gets the blood flowing! Monster Mutt won the Regular competition, and Grave Digger won the free style, he flipped his monster truck for us. The Air Force Afterburner was winning and he had to do something drastic if he had a chance. Ricky and I have never seen one flip live and seconds before the grand show Ricky leaned over and yelled in my ear that we should have gotten tickets for the night show because that is when they get crazy and for now they had to not rip their trucks up because there was still another show coming up, but Grave Digger came through~ When we got home the boys made their own arena and had their own show. I love it when little boys play! I hope they never grow up. and yes Cody was exiled to his own arena, you just can't have 2 Grave Diggers in the same arena, funny thing is he really didn't care he played anyway.
