The day after

Breena seems to be doing fine today. She hasn't needed any of the Tylenol with codeine. She has been happy and pain free. She has a little bruising on her face, Cody on the other hand is the one you thought had something done. He has been nothing but and emotional basket case. He is driving me crazy. He gets upset over everything.

I thought I would post a few picture from the last few weeks, I have been so busy I need to catch up.

last week end I sent the kids out to play in the snow. They made a snow man, had a snow ball fight and played around for about 3 hours. I was able to totally straighten my house, cleaning would be another thing. Cody came in and his cheeks were so red.

Rick has been having regular gun fights with the boys. they fight over the darts, and then attack. the gun fights usually end up in wrestling matches. All are involved, Breena is so aggressive.

Breena is "So Fashion" as she calls herself. She got some fake nails at the dollar store awhile ago, I thought I had hidden them well, well not well enough. she found them and was determined to wear them. She walked around like a princess the rest of the night.

The Hostible isn't that scary!

Breena had her out patient dental work done this morning. She couldn't have anything to eat or drink after midnight. Remember her appointment was at 10:45. I got her up for one last drink, that was an experience. She really can sleep deeply. She got up around 1 a.m. So I got up with her, we layed on the couch together and watched Meet the Robinson's. She stayed awake for the entire show, then went back to bed. She slept in until almost 10 a.m. The first thing out of her mouth is "I'm hungry" I am so glad she didn't get up early. When we arrived at the hospital she claimed it wasn't as scary as she thought. All she has been talking about is not wanting a shot in her tongue. They had her change into the cutest kiddie jammies. They reminded me of the ones she wore when she had tubes put in her ears at 16 months. We colored and talked until they were ready for her, the doctor, nurse, and anesthesiologist all explained what would happen, she walked away with them calmly. When she returned I had prepped for the worst, little kids sometimes have a hard time coming out of the anesthesia, when she was 16 months she cried, whined, wiggled, hit, and was completely inconsolable. They brought her in, she was sleeping, then she opened her eyes, smiled and went back to sleep. She was an angel the entire time. She colored and talked to me. She had an iv in her foot because they couldn't get the vein in her hand to work, her adorable face was swollen, and her lips were nice and plump. The neighboring boys family wasn't so fortunate, I don't know how old he was but he sounded about Trever's age. He was yelling, screaming, throwing, calling everyone on the room all sorts of inappropriate names, and threatening to hurt and kill. Breena would look at me with big eyes and say that wasn't nice. I am so glad things went well, and expensive lesson to learn on flossing.

Look at the 2 monies in my mouth!

Well we are back to the dentist again! What are the odds I would forget my camera 4 times now? (Don't answer if you know me.) Cody finished up his dental work this week, he had one more cavity to be filled. He took the sedation better this time in the sense of not trying to fight it and move around, get up, and walk. We experienced the down side of sedation when it was wearing off, holy basket case! Everything made him cry, hysterically. It was pretty cute though, last night he came up to me and said " Hey mom, look at the two monies in my mouth" I laughed so hard, it never would have ever crossed my mind to think of them as monies. Breena has her stint with the dentist tomorrow, she need a couple pulpotimies (mini root canals) so they decided to fully sedate her. Its off to the out patient surgery center for her. She cannot eat or drink anything after midnight tonight. I still don't have a game plan for this in the morning. Usually their appointments are right after they wake up so you can sort of let them sleep in, take them to the car in their jammies and jet to the doctor. her appointment is at 10:45. Her stomach is definitely going to say "I'm hungry"
The last few weeks have been crazy. It got really busy at work, I didn't expect this since they are doing major lay offs, and the lines have gone to 4-10's. I feel like I am missing a few days.

Happy New year!

Welcome 2009. I hope this year goes a lot smoother than the last. So much change coming this year for Breena, she is now old enough to play soccer, t-ball and go to kindergarten. Our New Years eve was so nice and relaxing. Rick and I took the kids to the theatre to see the movie Bolt. Cody threw a tantrum at the candy counter before the movie even began. Then he kept trying to walk out during the show. Breena leaned over about 3/4 through and said "I can't beleive we have been here so long, I can't waite to go to bed." Near the end Cody got upset with me and flicked the bucket of popcorn all over me. I was ready to leave. He just doesn't seem ready to handle a theatre, he acted this way when I took them to see Shrek 3. After the movies we went to a party we had been invited to. The kids watched movies and ran around while the adults played games. We sat around a little over an hour and then headed home. Party poopers are we! The kids were in bed by 11 pm.
