I love getting together for Christmas, we always laugh and never follow the agenda set forth by the parents. We get together on Christmas Eve, try to have a nice dinner and let the evening unfold. We usually read and sing something and then onto the real tradition. We write a predictions letter to ourselves to read next year, and then read the ones we wrote last year. Ann's is always the funniest but of course no on is quite like her! Lu read us a fun story from Elmo land! by the way she makes the BEST rice crispy treats ever ever ever! mmm now I am hungry again.

KIDS, Yes I have them!
We sort of have this reoccurring situation at our house, it's usually on a Saturday morning and involves running, tag, screaming, and on many occasions blankets and belts. The kids love to be "caught" and wrapped into caterpillars as they call them. Then they have to try and get out while the "monster" is asleep. I married the best dad ever and I didn't even know it! Well today it was payback. The kids were out to prove they could conquer and I believe they did!

I lost my tooth
Breena lost her 3rd tooth yesterday! She was standing in the grocery store with the neighbor and she pulled it out! We were on our way to New Mexico for Thanksgiving later that day so the Tooth Fairy had to find us in a Hotel room that night! I was well on my way to securing Loser mother of the year. (I had forgotten Breena's paper bag coloring thing at school the day before) Ricky asked if the whole tooth fairy thing was taken care of. I said yes and waited for the kids to fall asleep, well I fell asleep before they did. So when a disappointed Breena got up the next morning I knew my award was in the bag! Ricky has magic in him and can always smooth over any situation! That is why we are so good together. I create the situation and he smooths it over! We went to breakfast ( we pulled the babes from bed at 6:00 in the morning so we could get to Ricky's parents early) and magically when we got back, the fairy had visited~ you know technically it was still dark out!

Trick or Treat 2
Here they are in their finest! I was so glad the holiday was on Saturday! We had all day to get ready. We headed over to the mall in the morning to warm us up for the day. It was so crowded! It was dissapointed to see so many stores not participate. I vowed to not shop there in the future, cause if you know me I shop sooooo much at the mall. We went out with the neighbors. we walked up our block and back. it wasn't the longest evening but somehow it was enough. We got the kids in jammies and watched movies with the rest of our spooky evening.

Crazy Hair
Breena had crazy hair day today. So we tried to make it crazy. I think it worked. I tried to put some glitter stuff in her hair but it really didn't take. she was so excited to get on the bus and a little nevous at the same time. Was it really crazy hair day or would she be going to school looking crazy?

Fire House
Cody's Pre-school class was supposed to go to the Firehouse for a tour, the morning of they called and said there was a quarantine due to the swine flu, Ms. Jaci begged them to let her bring the little ones to the outside and have them bring out a fire truck to show them. They agreed and off we all went. The fireman was awesome. he really did a good job of talking to the kids. He showed them gear, put it on, let them get right up to the truck. I think everyone wanted to be a fireman after that!
Stone Fox
Trever is now in the 3rd grade~ and with that comes change. His teacher has the class reading different genre of books, then they have to do a report in front of the class on it. Trever read The Stone Fox. He made this out if a shoe box. He had so much fun. Rick and I were able to go and listen to him retell parts of the story. my favorite part was the end because he wouldn't tell them. He told them to get the book and read it to find out!

Hunting Season
Don't die of shock, I am still here. I have just been super busy and really don't like the time it takes to upload all the pictures~ So let's get back on track.
Hunting Season is one of our favorite times of the year. We have a tradition that we hope goes on forever! Ricky has made quite a few friends over the years, as we all have grown and moved sometimes it's hard to get together. We have such a friend, Curtis Page. We met him when Rick and I both worked at Anderson Lumber years ago. He invited Ricky to go hunting with his family and Ricky being new to Utah agreed. It has been a yearly get together and the Pages are definately our hunting family. They are the sweetest, kindest, most giving amazing family I have ever met! They now have a family cabin that the wives and children can gather at while the men search for that elusive Elk. Again this year Ricky was unsucessful but we had a memorable time. The kids played in the loft until they couldn't keep their eyes open. when we talk to the kids about the milestones of our year New years, valentines, St. Patricks, Easter... we always include the Cabin. Thank you Pages, until next year~

Cody had crazy hair day today at Preschool He was so cute. He wanted spikey hair with colored tips, problem was the glitter glue got jammed and sent a massive chunk into his hair, thank goodness it was crazy hair day! I love it he looks like a fuzzy little duck, tan is gone! He needs a hair cut but I held out because of this. Now lets see if the glue comes out.

Park City Day 3, check out!
So the check out day has finally arrived, we have done so much the last few days and have loved every second of it, well I did, there were a few hours the first night Rick wasn't enjoying himself Thanks 167 here is a shout out to you! The boys were showing me how they are not afraid to put their faces in the water, maybe something silly to you, but for my boys its a big deal. I was so proud of them. After swimming the day away we headed home back to reality! So enjoy the "movies" I love the elevator music playing in the back ground! makes you want to hang out at the pool doesnt it?
p.s. Cody is not dead or drowned if you still think that reread the post!

Park City Day 2
Today we got up and had a big family breakfast! yumm, those who chose to went to church while the sinners stayed at the pool! We had a blast swimming by the way! Finally the kids are loving the water they swim like fish! Breena and Katelyn are pals they played all day. Trever found random pool guests to play with and of course my cousin Archer. After we played in the pool Rick and I decided it was time for a quality Klien Hike. We drove through down town Park City which I sadly admit I did not do last year. The homes are beautiful and so close together! We found a parking spot and headed off to our next adventure. We didn't do a real hike obviously we were in shorts and flip flops. We found an old mine the kids were fascinated. Trever wanted to dig under the door or climb on top so he could see what was inside. It was a gorgeous place. The kids were still a little skiddish each time they heard a bee they would jump into Rick or I's arms. Will they ever get over that trauma? We got back to the hotel and swam the rest of the day. oh waite we did shop at the sports store, I wanted to to outlet but maybe another time. I got new sandals, lucky me. So enjoy the rare photo of me, no comments please, I know I look like a hoochie, I thought I would releive Ann of the title for a day!

Park City Day 1
We got here at midnight~ We checked in and put the boys to bed. We got a room with a sofa sleeper and a king size bed. I took Breena over to my sisters room to see if she was awake. Ann, Chris, Jim (her man) and Wade were all watching Princess Bride. Love that movie! My grandma was in the othere room reading a book. She is adorable!! We said hi and headed back to our room. I Climbed in bed at 12:15 the boys were asleep, I thought Rick was asleep and very quickly I was out. This morning Rick asked if I heard all the comotion in the room next to us around 12:30. Nope slept like a baby!~ I am having a hard time adjusting to the new mattress at home. He said one of the kids was up, he could hear them rolling around the sleeper couch. Apparently there was a party going on. The boys both said they didnt hear anthing so I asked Breena, she said she heard a lady crying and laughing about her baby, she was close but not really it was OOOOOOHHHH BABY all over the room Rick said she was screaming and using inappropriate language well you get the point. So now I have a feeling Rick will always need a 167 (room next door). We went to breakfast at the inhotel restraunt, cody got a pancake and it was adorable. it was shaped in a teddy bear head, whip cream for the ears with black berries, chocolate chips for the eyes, raspberries for a smile. then we hit the Slides. We had a blast. We went down the Coaster first, each kid got a turn, I let loose!!! Breena was laughing and screaming at the same time, what fun. then we hit the Coasters, we weren't so lucky, Rick had Breena and they flipped their sled, she has a massive fiberglass burn on her head, Rick got some on his knee nad elbow, Breena was done after that. We then headed over to the park for our lunch date. The kids love the play ground and who wouldn't! after we ate we decided it was time for a softball game. I love my family! they were so cute when the kids would get up to bat and yes Brian would tag them out as they ran their little precious legs as hard as they could to get to first. No mercy! what a man. after softball we played kick ball! we lost a few players moving from one sport to the next, but it was fun. It was a busy day full of so many things to do. Most headed back to the Hotel. Rick, Jim, Chris, Ann, Wade,Trever, Cody and I went back up to do the slides. The lines were a mile long. We got to be the last ones on the Coaster before the clouds busted open and it started to pour, so back to the hotel to swim and watch movies. Later Rick, Jim and I snuck back and Rick did the slide while I did the zip line with Jim. I think I scared myself more than needed, it was a not scary, stomach lurching feeling when the opened the gate. Beautiful! Dinner by the pool followed by a swim what more can you ask for?

Park City here we come!
I have been waiting for Park City for a few months now, I was a little reluctant after last year, you see the transmission went out on the Explorere while we were in Park City, we barely made it home, it was an expensive trip! as the second annual Wallace Family get together was coming near I got excited. There was a lot that went into getting ready you see It seems this is the second annual year for the Explorer to give up problems, at least it was before we got to Park City, Its making a noise and is really sluggish. So we will leave her home and take Big blue. Then this morning I was leaving to go run errands, the kids were in the car and I was in the kitchen it sounded like someone turned the tub on, but down stairs, I ran down there to find hot water spraying all over my utility room the water heater nozzle had busted loose. I tried to turn the nobs on the heater but found my self to be a whimp and to weak, So like a crazy lady I ran across the street and grabbed my neighbor. I dreaded making the call to Rick since we were supposed to leave today for Park City, were we not going to go? GRRRR. We had Lee's plumbing come and fix it. I was so lucky the water stayed in the utility room I mean barely, it was reaching the edges of the room (concrete floors with a drain)So we finally headed out at 9:20 pm vacation here we come!

First Day of Pre-K
Cody is so big! He is so confident as well. He couldn't wait to get to Ms. Jaci's. He is now an official student of Lil Rascals pre school. Yes the name is fitting. He is so ready to learn. I hope he will listen to teacher since we are such good friends and play together all the time I am afraid he might try to goof off and not listen, but I have faith in Ms. Jaci she has a special talent with children this age. As a trade off I am taking her little girl Oakley while she teaches, Breena and I are excited. She is so full of energy and curiosity ( she is 14 months old)
